The areas where I specialize in personal training include: strength and conditioning, weight loss, body composition, muscle toning, and athletic performance. I have the knowledge to properly develop custom training programs tailored to the individual.
Strength and conditioning refers to a specific type of fitness program designed to improve overall fitness. This kind of program typically involves a combination of weight training, cardiovascular conditioning, and functional training. Weight loss is designed to help you reach your desired body composition goals through calorie-controlled diet plans and specific exercises. Body composition is critical for optimal health and fitness. I work with my clients to create a body composition plan that helps them lose fat and increase muscle mass.
Moreover, muscle toning involves designing exercise programs that combine strength and resistance training with cardiovascular exercises to help tone the muscles while losing fat. Finally, athletic performance includes intense physical activities such as running, jumping, and agility drills so that athletes can further improve their competitive performance.
On the other hand, there are some areas of personal training where I do not specialize. These include yoga, pilates, and dance-based fitness. While I fully understand the benefits of these activities and would never discourage someone from participating in them, these particular types of exercise are not within my scope of practice as a certified trainer.
