I’ve been working with Matthew since the start of May and am already seeing results. He has completely changed my mindset around exercise and the gym. For the first time in my life, I genuinely look forward to and enjoy going to the gym- it doesn’t feel like a chore, even after a busy day. When I first started working with Matthew, I was able to tell him my goals and he helped develop a plan to get me there. He has a great understanding of fitness and was able to work out a plan that will help me but will also fit into my lifestyle. It’s also great to be able to have my sessions in a private gym rather than having to wait and find equipment as you might do in a busy gym. I’ve also enjoyed the wider “community” Matthew has developed with all of his clients, and the challenges have been great fun!Couldn’t recommend Matthew enough- his support and expertise has helped me develop my strength and fitness in ways I’ve never been able to before. Very grateful for all your help and looking forward to seeing what we can do next!

It has been nothing short of a blessing to work with Matthew. He has helped me achieve my goals and get in the shape of my life in only a few months of working together. For me one of the best things has been having someone like Matt be able to objectively look at my physique and know how to improve it and know what to do to get there. Before in the gym in my own I was quite misguided and only did a few lifts.Matthew is very knowledgable, Kind, easy to work with and makes sure you are going on track to hit your goals. I would not be in the place I am right now without him, I know that for sure. The private gym with a 1-1 sessions weekly is great and leaves me feeling motivated after each time session that I am on the right track and helps keep me accountable, something that was an missing personally for myself pre having a PT.Overall, I am so glad I took the decision to work with Matthew - it’s been a game changer and excited to see where I am a year from now

Couldn’t be more happy with the 1-2-1 Personal Training that I’m getting from Matthew with Strive. I had lots of negative expectations about what a PT would be like and really wasn’t sure it would be for me - but the supportive approach that Matthew uses (as well the fact that he obviously knows his stuff) is really helping me enjoy working out and see results. Also really important for me is that he understands that sometimes life/work/stuff gets busy and can get in the way - life doesn’t just stop to let you focus on working out. He’s the perfect PT for busy professionals. He’s a joy to work with - so if you’re a professional working in Glasgow city centre, he’s the PT for you.

I started training with Matthew in Feb 2023. I had next to zero gym experience and felt I had no clue what to do in the gym. From the first day Matthew put me at ease and slowly built up my confidence. If I can’t do an exercise I’m always giving an alternative with the plan of eventually being able to do the original. Feed back from check ins is always in-depth and constructive. And I feel one of the most important things is training with Matthew is fun and we always have a laugh. Each week I can see myself progressing with cardio and strength! Couldn’t recommend him enough, especially for people who struggle with gym confidence and anxiety!!

Before starting with Matthew I had never been to a gym and being older, was extremely nervous about joining but there was no need. He is fantastic, so friendly, informative and encouraging. He helps you gain confidence and makes gym sessions enjoyable. Matthew genuinely cares about his clients and I would definitely recommend him.

Popular Questions re Personal Training in Glasgow?

Many people experience a sense of discomfort and unease when they enter a gym environment, which can make it hard to achieve your fitness goals.

If you have ever felt this way, you are not alone! Gym anxiety can manifest in a number of ways, and it’s important to understand what it looks like in order to overcome it.

First, it can show up as physical feelings. Your heart may start beating faster when you step inside a gym, and your muscles may feel tense. Sweating palms and shortness of breath are other symptoms. It can also come with a feeling of dread, or like something bad is about to happen.

Second, it can take the form of anxious thoughts. You may be worried that other people are judging your workout routine, that you don’t belong in the gym, or even that you don’t know what you’re doing. This can cause you to avoid the gym at all costs or even to leave early.

Finally, it can lead to avoidance behavior. This could include procrastinating or coming up with excuses as to why you can’t go to the gym.

Luckily, there are ways to combat gym anxiety. It’s important to practice good self-care—take deep breaths, go for a walk outside, or talk to a friend. Making time for activities you enjoy outside of the gym can also help to reduce stress. Over time, this can make the gym a less intimidating environment.

Additionally, setting small, attainable goals can help to boost confidence. Start slow and focus on yourself rather than comparing yourself to others in the gym. This will help you stay in control and on track with your fitness goals.

Overall, understand that overcoming gym anxiety is a process—it will take time and dedication. But don’t be discouraged! With the right mindset and a few simple strategies, you can conquer your fear and start reaching your fitness goals.

To begin, there are a few key elements to consider which will influence the cost of a personal trainer. The most important aspect is the qualifications and experience of the trainer in question. Personal trainers with more qualifications and experience generally come with a higher cost. It is also important to note that trainers in London may cost more than trainers in other areas of the UK, as the cost of living in London is higher.

Another factor that affects the cost of a personal trainer is how many sessions you will have with them and whether it is one-off or part of an ongoing plan. A one-off session will be more expensive, as a longer-term plan will offer a discounted rate for multiple sessions.

It is also important to consider other services that the personal trainer offers such as nutritional advice or access to facilities like a gym. It is worth checking with the individual trainer if they have access to gyms and other facilities, as it can add to the overall cost.

The last factor will be any discounts or promotions that may be available at the time. Some personal trainers offer seasonal promotions, so this could help you save money.

On average, a personal trainer in the UK can cost anywhere from £25 to £100 per hour, depending on the experience and qualifications of the personal trainer. It is important to do your research and find a personal trainer that suits your needs and budget. Remember – a personal trainer is an investment and ultimately an important part of meeting your fitness goals.

It costs £115 for premium online coaching for the month. £150 for 1 to 1 in person for the month. And £130 for 2 to 1 (each) for the month. Please send a contact form for more information! Here at Strive we believe that to be good value for money and we can’t wait to get you started with the platform! Strive to be the best version for yourself in 2023!

I’m here to give you an idea of how many personal training sessions you should be attending to make sure you reach your fitness goals.

To begin, it is important to consider your own unique fitness goals. Everyone’s goals are unique, so you’ll have to assess your own needs and decide whether two personal training sessions a week are a sufficient number for you to reach your goals.

Generally, if you are looking to get into shape or to take up a new activity, two personal training sessions a week may be adequate. Two sessions can provide enough time to learn proper technique and form for the exercises involved. However, if you are focused on making significant progress in a relatively short time frame, two sessions may not be enough.

If you are looking to build strength, two personal training sessions a week may not provide enough time for you to reach your goals at the rate you’d like. Generally, it is recommended that individuals looking to build strength and muscle should attend three or more personal training sessions a week. This gives you sufficient opportunity to work different muscle groups and get enough rest between sessions.

Finally, it is worth bearing in mind that two personal training sessions a week can work as part of an overall fitness plan. If you attend two personal training sessions and supplement with other exercises, such as running or yoga, you may find that this combination of activities is enough to help you reach your fitness goals.

When it comes to deciding how many personal training sessions a week is enough for you, the key is to assess your individual fitness goals and ensure that what you’re doing is working for you. Two personal training session may be enough for some, but for others, three or more may be necessary.

As a certified personal trainer, who has worked as a personal trainer for 8 years, I can tell you that it is possible to make progress in that amount of time.

Of course, the level of improvement that you can see will depend on the individual, based on their current level of fitness and the regimen that they follow. Realistically, if you make a concerted effort to get into shape in three months, you should see some improvements such as better posture and an overall increase in strength.

That said, there are some things to consider as you work to reach your goals in just three months. First and foremost, consistency is key. If you want to see results in that short amount of time, you will have to commit to a regular exercise routine with some cardio and strength training so that your body begins to transform.

Second, diet is also crucial. Eating healthy foods and avoiding processed ones can help you get into shape by helping you maintain your energy levels while you exercise. Choosing nutrient dense foods like lean meats, fruits, vegetables and whole grains can help fuel your body during your workout and aid in your recovery afterward.

Lastly, make sure to get enough rest so that your body can properly heal and recuperate. Sleep is essential for helping your body reach its peak performance and keeping your overall energy levels up.

If you adhere to these tips, you should start to see improvements in your physical fitness within three months. That said, it takes dedication and hard work, so don’t be discouraged if the results don’t come as quickly as you’d like. Also, keep in mind that everyone is different so your results may vary from someone else’s.

So if you’re looking to get into shape in three months or less, it can be done with the right plan and determination. Good luck on your fitness journey!
